TagTeam® LCO XC Inoculant is a triple-action technology that combines Bradyrhizobium japonicum with the exclusive LCO (lipo-chitooligosaccharides) technology, and the phosphate-solubilizing benefits of Penicillium bilaiae. In 2016, a growth chamber study showed that combining LCO with rhizobia increases the rate of early soybean nodulation, resulting in 2X as many nodules compared to rhizobia alone. Plus, the LCO in TagTeam LCO XC Inoculant enhances mycorrhizal colonization, which increases functional root volume and helps the plant uptake more water and nutrients through the root.

How the Technology Works:

Freeing Phosphate: Penicillium bilaiae releases bound mineral forms of soil and fertilizer phosphate, making it more available for the plant to use.

More Nitrogen: Needing nitrogen, the plant releases flavonoids to signal rhizobia. Sensing the flavonoids, the rhizobia signal LCO back to the plant. The plant can respond to the LCO, allowing the rhizobia to infect its roots. This symbiotic relationship can create nodules, which help fix atmospheric nitrogen.
